The Confederacy was right about everything except slavery, and let's not pretend that the northern states were pushing to free slaves and raise their raw material costs until that was the only way to keep the southern states under their thumb.
I haven't seen sturg push for slavery.
I'm curious to see if the work from home revolution does anything to metro populations. Fewer people are going to be tied to cities for work now. I can't imagine wanting to live in one for any other reason, but I know some folks feel differently.
I expect the trend sturg outlined to continue. Lots of middle and upper middle class leaving and being replaced by lower incomes who will benefit more from the expanded government services. Of course, that often leads to urban decay and higher crime, and those who can afford to leave, leaving. We will see.
