Some Red State/Blue State Indicia

Hey Zito - Your source says this:

Our ruling: True
We rate the claim that hospitals get paid more if patients are listed as COVID-19 and on ventilators as TRUE.

Hospitals and doctors do get paid more for Medicare patients diagnosed with COVID-19 or if it's considered presumed they have COVID-19 absent a laboratory-confirmed test, and three times more if the patients are placed on a ventilator to cover the cost of care and loss of business resulting from a shift in focus to treat COVID-19 cases.

So now I'm wondering - Did you say I was wrong by providing me with an article that says I'm right?

Division of Emergency Management (DEM) Director Kevin Guthrie is confirming that between 800,000 and 1 million of the state’s COVID-19 test kits recently expired — but said there was no demand for them.

...

For Tuesday, the latest day with available data, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 59,487 new COVID-19 cases in Florida, with 4.4 million cases confirmed in the state throughout the pandemic. Florida is also among the top five states for new COVID-19 cases per capita in the last seven days.

except for the long lines and wait time to be tested.
One would think there would be more test sights ?
Wouldn't one

But while he was
a) vacationing
b) spending 2 weeks with his wife ( before they both appeared New Years Eve, at what Herman Caine would call a Super Spreader event )
c) fundraising
d) hospitalized with Covid

those 800K to a million available tests expired

and people here are trumpeting giving him the nuclear codes

yes " CASES !!! "

as in people getting needlessly sick.

Ummmm.....

You're wrong. Overwhelming majority of cases people are not getting sick.

But tell me - Which area is doing things the way you want and preventing 'Cases'?

The preferred (R) POTUS candidate of our board.

Since late December, Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, a Democrat who is running against DeSantis, has begged the governor to do something with the staggering number of unused COVID-19 tests sitting in a warehouse before they expire.

DeSantis’ office continued to deny their existence and accused Fried of lying. Well … today, there was a different story.

Oh dear lord....you guys will never let COVID die despite it now being the common cold.

Desantis is going to wipe the floor with anyone in Florida. His approvals are incredible.

If he chooses to run for President I suspect he will do very well with the middle of the country.

Love how the great 'daily KOS' basically mocks Desantis saying Omricon symptoms are mild.

You mean Desantis is telling the truth and idiots like 57 don't realize it?

Imagine having 1 million COVID tests available to offer your citizens as

your state is ravaged by a global pandemic, but instead of disseminating

them to the Mayors and cities begging for help, you just up and

disappear for 17 days and let them expire, wasting tax-payer dollars.

Bear in mind the Governor in question won by 33,000 votes.
62,000 ( and counting) have died of Covid in Florida since 2020

Let’s be intellectually honest, here. There’s still a government in Florida to handle day-to-day issues like this when DeSantis isn’t present. We have a warped view of the role of Governors and Presidents. They don’t just personally make these decisions. You can object to the team he put in place or his governing principles, but tests didn’t expire or not get allocated because DeSantis wasn’t physically in some location.

///////

And when asked where the AWOL Governor was there were 4 different answers in the first day followed by a New Years Eve Super Spreader with his cancer patient wife

This is Presidential timber reminiscent of Bridgegate's Chris Christie

So to be " intellectually honest" Governors and Presidents do have the power to ease the suffering and anxiety of their constituents.
If in fact the people of Florida are his main concern rather than 2024
