Blue states are either wealthy or mostly white so draw your own conclusions.
Maryland has a large African American population. Ruby red states like West Virginia, Oklahoma and Kentucky are rather white.

3 of the 4 whitest states in the country are in the northeast.
THe other (west Virginia) is dirt poor.

To be fair, I thought bringing up details that couldn’t have meaningfully contributed to the results of these fires in any way was the primary thing driving the discourse around these fires.
States and school districts in recent decades have enacted a large number of policies to address obesity. I suppose it could be argued that "culture" precludes certain states and school districts from enacting such policies. I'll buy that.
Similar to passing policy to build a high speed rail, “enacting” is not akin to “achieving”.
Amazing. Leftist idiots simply incapable of learning

I’m not sure they have that power BUT
There is likely a phase out period where they have to let policy holders know something ahead of time
Aka this is likely just posturing 100% trying to save face from the debacle
They've done a lot of enacting and spending on ending homelessness too
As our worm brain addled soon to be minister of health will shortly learn, simply signing a piece of paper and appropriating budget won’t fix many problems. This country has a food addiction that’s killing us.
But as aces astutely mentioned earlier, life expectancy and number of teeth don’t really have much to do with the profound failure and mismanagement of local resources. I’m not even sure how LA recovers from this, at least in the short term.
How much of that food addiction exists because of the cheap availability of unhealthy additives while choking out smaller farms that can produce healthier options?

Obesity has also risen in high income groups as well. So while I agree that our food supply has challenges, American culture prioritizes convenience and sweets. People would rather pay for soda than drink water for free.
You just don’t see certain segments of the population in the gym/or eating properly
The ratio is wayyyy off and it would floor you as to why sometimes. But there’s also a LOT of the population that thinks morbidly obese is beautiful and healthy
