But this has been known and reported on for at least 7 years but there have been no meaningful convictions or political consequences

People can just 'say' they want to root out fraud but they won't be willing to do the things necessary to prevent future fraud.

What we saw here was the greenlighting by the state dem party. This goes deep and across the country there is probably a fraudalent network of over ten thousand doing this.

It's a crime against every tax payer. It should come with automatic deportation and 10-year mandatory sentence in prison for natural born citizens.

And if a citizen has been recently 'naturalized' they should have heir citizenship removed and sent back to whatever hell hole they came from.

And maybe, just maybe, we should do something about the actual programs being exploited. I know this idea somehow makes me a leftist and is rooted in my apparent need to feel good about myself, but maybe it’s worth considering regardless.

I'm sure as a Mississippian you are well-informed about the crimes of Brett Favre and the power elite who facilitated his fraud. I'm for deporting Brett and company to a spot in the Pacific. Drop them all from altitude without a parachute.

Who is saying these punishments shouldn't extent to native born Americans?

The argument is that the comparison of the size and how the fraud was perpetrated is a totally different story.
