in the past year the unemployment rate for those 25 and over have gone up for both HS and college grads.

For HS grads it has gone up from 4.3% to 4.8%.

For college grads it has gone up from 2.5 to 3.0%.

To me it looks like a weak job market. For many people. To be expected given the economic policies of the Trump administration.

i do know from my students that it is a lousy job market...but it is lousy in general...past experience suggests that this kind of economy is especially bad for new graduates, so I wouldn't be surprised to see their unemployment rate rising by more than the general population

Yea but I’ve read some things that Austin is especially left of the state. Wifey wants to visit soon so I guess I’ll find out first hand.

Texas has a few leftist pockets and Austin is the biggest among them. Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.
