I don't care if we out Newsom, he sucks.

But she was CEO of a charity, plenty of them pay money. And what Newsom is doing is no different than what Trump has done. Until we make lobbying illegal, you won't solve these kinds of potential abuses.

The damage these people have done to our social fabric is shameful. Making a charitable donation is a wonderful feeling. But I have to admit I’ve become quite black pilled in recent years.

At this point I basically only trust individual go fund me causes for folks I know who are in need.

Yeah local is the only way to go. Oh and not headed up by a politicians spouse... those are red flags.

I give blood to ARC regularly because I have O- blood, but other than that national outfits aren't efficient with their money.

I mean I don't fully agree with you but I do get it. I'm hard on charity navigator and things like that because so many aren't worth it. I mainly donate to local charities I know what they're doing. Like there's a local house that takes in women and children of domestic violence situations and gives them a place to sleep and live until they can get on their feet.
