Mamdani is making a mistake targeting Griffin personally. Griffin and his businesses do indeed contribute a great deal to the NY economy and Mamdani should be appreciative of that. You can raise taxes on the rich without vilifying them.

They studied the issue, discovered the heating effects they noticed are too localized to contribute to rising global temperatures and have instead focused on causes that affect more than just the local conditions. There are plenty of people looking to combat the effects of urbanization, but the people focused on the global climate aren’t them.
