Life would get materially worse for everyone left in the wrong “country” on both sides as more and more extreme leaders are elected by the newly increased majorities. People like MTG and AOC become standard bearers if you don’t have to appeal to a broader population. I don’t accept that outcome for the people stuck in the middle.

Edited to add: I’m genuinely curious as to why you think this is a good argument. Do you think gay people in the South would be looking at Hungary and thinking, “well hey, it works for the EU!”

Biden is one step right a full blown communist and he is currently doing everything I loathe and it impacts me substantially. Why can't I have a government that closer represents my values more consistently than this every 4 years of one side getting to "rule" over the others (and leftists are lucky that the right hasn't done this to them... yet)

They can also legalize pedophilia and abort babies til 9 months. They can also have those open borders they love so much (well, not so much Matha's Vineyard, Chicaco, NYC, or DC)... and everywhere can be a gun free zone where criminals need not fear of law abiding gun owners, and need not fear about getting prosecuted either. the homeless camps would a national treasure, rather than a local one.

I'm fine with transferring the dinaros to disadvantaged folk in only blue areas. Red areas can proceed according to their ideals of rugged individualism, personal responsibility, bootstraps and all that jazz.
