Some Red State/Blue State Indicia

Imo Republicans miss a big opportunity by not pushing a bill through Congress that makes it illegal to discriminate for any based on race with no exceptions. Democrats would have to oppose it and the optics of that would look really bad.

My views on police are well known here, but Democrats "solutions" to policing are bull****. Its a never ending frustration that my only two options are assholes or retards. Fixing policing isnt really that hard or difficult, you just enforce the law on them the same way they do on us. Simple as that. We only do reactive investigations of cops when theres an accusation. If we did proactive investigations to ensure the cops follow the law there would be an initial wave of cops getting arrested. Many would quit, threaten to resign, policing overall would be severely understaffed.... for a while. Maybe even years. But you then slowly build the ranks back up with honest people who know that if they do something like lie about a car smelling like weed to search it that that person in the car might be an undercover agent. They might think again about detaining that guy flipping them the bird.

Police in Allen, Tex., were responding to reports of an “active shooter” at the Allen Premium Outlets, a dispatcher told The Washington Post on Saturday evening. The congressman who represents the area said a suspect is "down and there are multiple casualties,” but authorities were still working to ensure the scene was safe.

In a statement Saturday afternoon, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) called the incident an "unspeakable tragedy,” and offered “the full support of the State of Texas to local officials to ensure all needed assistance and resources are swiftly deployed.”

Nine people have been taken to trauma centers, according to a fire official.

“Those are the ones that we know of,” Allen Fire Chief Jon Boyd told reporters Saturday evening. “Those are the ones the Allen Fire Department transported. There may be others transported in private vehicles.”

When I asked my new neighbors in Boerne who moved from California why they moved to TX, they said they were wanting to move to a place where they are more likely to be murdered

So basically as more people from blue states have moved there, the higher the firearm death rate ?

As you can see, the homicide rate in both states has been declining over time. However, Texas has a slightly higher homicide rate than California. In 2020, there were 1,931 homicides in Texas and 2,203 homicides in California.

Maybe show some data on people moving to red states from blue states instead of making a blanket statement that you don't backup. I don't even know if there's data showing what party a person moving states is. There's plenty of Republicans in California so it could be them leaving not Democrats and you people just assume the reason is because they don't like something about California. There's plenty of other reasons someone might move.
