so if 57 were voting on whether to "phase out gas stoves", how would he vote?
 
Someone who worked at Dixie Pipeline told me that in the event of an electric grid cataclysm like a solar flare or EMP burst, there is enough gas in the lines to last for months or years. My in-laws have a whole house gas generator for that reason.

And of course you can store gas cans for ICE cars.

That gives you lots of options for energy resilience. Taking away the natural gas and gasoline makes you totally dependent on the grid for cooking, heating, and driving. I can't be the only one who thinks our betters will soon enforce limitations on that usage.

Doesn't make me wonder. It's guaranteed to happen.

When solar technology improves, most people should be capable of going off the grid. Think the government will allow that to happen? When you're taxed or not allowed to go off grid at some point in the future, that'll be all the proof we all need to know that their whole deal about climate change and protecting the environment is simply about a money grab, not actually about helping the earth. What they want is for us to take one for the team and foot the bill for it while they profit off of us. It's clear as day but that's yet another situation where they'll call you a conspiracy theorist and say it'll never happen, then when it happens they'll say it's a good thing that it's happening.

Everyone has to have electric power sources.

Everyone has to connect their thermostat to the cloud.

Conspiracy or not, (and of course I know the intent is malicious)... we are not far away from one EMP basically wiping out half the country
 
I read some weird facts about the LA Country Club over the weekend that were interesting: $250,000 initiation fee, they don't allow celebrities, they don't allow any photos of social media posts in or around the CC, it sits on 320 acres in the middle of Beverly Hills, because of some weird tax laws instead of paying $80M a year in property taxes they pay $220,000, the property is worth $8 BILLION.

don't know why this would be in this stupid thread but yes

behind central park, its the most valuable land that hasn't been developed in a city. you also can't change into your golf shoes at your car and you can't use your phone. you can make a call in your car but once you have left your car, the only place to use a phone is pay phone in the club house

I used to think this was incompetence but I've come to the realization that it is more than that.

They are definitely incompetent but it's clear these government projects are simply money pots for politicians, friends, and donors
