Spring has Sprung

yah but where is the drill where he practices hustling down the line on the opposite fielder so he can be on second.

I don’t think he meant it that way, but it sounds like Hank doesn’t believe you should have fun playing baseball.

“Zero fun, sir.”

*itching about Aaron's comments simply shows how entitled some people have become these days.

He and the other players of his day had to play hard - if they didn't, they'd have to go out and get a *hitty job to try and support their families. Acuna has $100 million in the bank - what is it he needs to play hard for again?

Here's hoping he turns that corner (as Hank hopes he will) and turns into one of the all-time greats. Expecting him to work that hard when the next several generations of his family are already taken care of is amazingly short-sighted, particularly when he's still showing signs of a lack of maturity. He's still young, and no one's going to try to act like they didn't do similar things when they were still "kids".

That's also not to say he won't continue to mature and improve, simply that there are a *elluva lot more insanely talented athletes that never realized tons of potential than there are ones that wound up in Cooperstown - and that wasn't the case in Aaron's day.

I'll be thrilled to death to say I was the old man yelling at the cloud - and I'll do so the day Acuna fits in any historical discussion with Aaron (or the day he makes his speech at Cooperstown).

You guys realize that Canseco accomplished a 40-40 season while Acuna hasn't yet, right? Would you *itch if Hank had said the same thing about him?

Don't compare Acuna to Trout just yet - doing so is beyond ridiculous. You can do that about 7-8 years from now and see how that shakes out. I realize it hurts lots of folks' feelings, but we're still a seriously long way from putting people in the museum at Cooperstown based on their second-year projections, sorry.

Weren't several of you screaming that people needed to cool their jets after Riley's first month?

Can someone please explain derps latest ramble? I can’t even discern his position, or how Trout, Canseco and Riley can possibly factor into it.

Acuna watched a ball one time, so he's going to flop, do steroids, and become a convicted felon.

The only thing you need to know is that it’s stupid, and says a lot of things that aren’t relevant to the discussion at all.

Basically, a typical cvlderp post.

He was defending Aaron's comments while also somehow defending Acuna. I guess when don't take a definitive side you can say you're always right.
