Likely to be down league wide with the Coronavirus. There is a non-zero chance that they shut out fans completely for a few weeks.

Riley isn’t facing pitchers with advance scouting reports. He’s facing guys working on something and guys who will be in the minors.

Until he lays off pitches outside of the zone and stops swinging and missing inside the zone on the mlb level,I’m not sold.

I assume the Braves have exit velocities and other metrics to make better decisions than I do.

My worry with Riley is that he’s a aaaa guy now. He can’t get better in aaa bc they don’t have the scouting reports and stuff for him to prove anything. So you have to gamble on him at the mlb level

He has a history of struggling in his jump up a level and then adjusting and thriving

I wonder how effective it would be for teams to tell folks with a fever or a cough to stay home and offer refunds to them no questions asked. That would at least cut down on the risk some.

Just wait until a player in the NBA, NHL, or MLB gets it. Will teams be quarantined? Games cancelled?

I mean they have enough money (and power in Trump's case) to provide the sort of care that would likely allow for a fairly quick recovery. Still, it would have a major affect on the elections.

I think some of that might be posturing on Snitker’s part; but, either way, I was just stating what I hoped would / thought should happen. There’s just nobody else in camp rn that looks worthy of that final bench spot, especially if it means opening up a spot on the 40-man.
 
A massive part of Fried's 2019 success was the dramatic improvement of his control to 2.55 BB/9. His control is something to keep an eye on for sure.
