Spring Training 2015

Good to see one of Hunter's good AB's to work out today unlike last game other than the walk. Circaio and Peterson having big games (two straight for Peterson of course). Freeman having a big day too.

Jaime is out of options and I've never been high on him. I wanted him to be DFA'd before some others this off-season as y'all may recall. But the Braves obviously wanted to give him one last shot before doing so. I expect he'll be DFA'd before ST is over.

I know it's early but at this point Peterson seems to be impressing and improving his shot at making the team.

Peterson got out this time but another productive out moving the speedy EY Jr. to third. EY Jr. has no hits but so far has walked three times in his two games and got HBP this inning. Plus he's stole a few bases too.

Rich Hill has hit two Braves this inning, this time Castro and it sounded like he hit him on the knee.

Offense has been a pleasant surprise. However, this bullpen that is full of has-been closers does have me concerned.

Love Young and Peterson at the top of the lineup

Peterson will not be a spectacular player but one of thoes guys you love having on a team. Will fight every AB and make pitchers work. Huge difference from what we were used to the last few years.

I try not to get too worked up over ST because so many of hte pitchers are scrubs. Overall though the offense will be better than people expect.

Absolutely I love the high contact speed guys.

Been on his bandwagon since we got him, I don't know what's not to like. Always hit in the minors, always showed a great eye. Really hope he turns into a solid player.

Yeah, its been promising so far but its still spring training. I am hopeful like you. This is also just one piece in the deal. I think Mallex Smith will contribute as well in the future and of course then there is a potential TOR starter in Fried down the road.

Sounds like Joey T has had a few questionable called third strikes go against him today. Joey has a pretty good eye so my guess is one or both were balls since he questioned them.

Rookie doesn't get the calls, reformed strike zone or not.

Well, Nats win 9-8 today. We outhit them but poor pitching hurt, namely by Jaime who gave up a four spot. Viz takes the loss as he gave up the two runs proving the difference. Peterson has been the most consistent with the bat so far. That's good to see and I'm rooting for him.
