My only worry about Upton the Elder now going to Melvin is that his middle name is Emanuel and then he might become all about M.E.
 
Some of the more newsy tweets from DOB today. Not crazy about the idea of Folty in the pen. I'll believe it when I see it, I guess.

Agreed. Folty needs to be starting in Gwinnett and not pitching out of the bullpen here on a rebuilding team. Plus Folty was just interviewed a day ago and he was talking about being happy to get back to starting again rather than pitching out of the bullpen.
 
Bowman says Avilan still might be traded:

@jase1129 the Braves tried to trade Avilan throughout the winter. If he has a good camp, they might be able to do so.

Bowman doesn't buy the Folty to the pen talk either:

I don't think we're giving up on him per say, but making light of a situation that doesn't look very promising.

Of course we want to see him succeed, but this is more so preparing for low expectations so we don't get too disappointed if he continues to struggle as he has his first two years here.
