Beachy's problem does sound like a "spring thing" and I'm still betting he's an opening day roster guy. Two shutout innings, 2.70 ERA for the spring.

Something else these SP injuries will bring is an extra burden on the bullpen.

Doesn't look like Ian Thomas is being stretched out by his ST numbers. If we see that Maya guy pitch, it's going to be a long year

Agreed on Ian Thomas but I think that might change if nothing materializes on the trade or FA market for another pitcher. You can't ignore what the guy did in AA. He may not be a great major leaguer but I don't think he belongs in the minor leagues anymore.
 
Wren is going to address the media soon according to DOB.

I don't think he would do that if there was no issue.
 
@ajcbraves: #Braves Medlen MRI showed "some involvement of the ligament" and he'll get second opinion and further evaluation

What a terrible way to BEGIN our season.
 
This just flat out sucks, flat out sucks, flat out sucks. No other way to say it.

Kris was underrated and a flat out stud for us the last year and a half, and a very good pitcher before that. Losing him is HUGE. And not only that, he was my favorite non-Kimbrel pitcher on the Braves, as he is the closest thing to Maddux that I have ever seen.

No, thethe's avatars only seem to have negative effect on Braves so Harper or Strasburg would mean they'd win the MVP/Cy.

I would go with retired Brave, I don't think you could make Greg Maddux's contributions to the Braves worse.
