ST 3/2 at Mets - Kolby on mound, Grissom and Ozuna and minor leagues- on TV

Acuna looks like he’s going to have a monster season.

Albies looks like he’s moving even closer to the plate with an open stance from both sides in an attempt to literally pull 100% of pitches. I’m concerned he’s going to struggle.

It will be interesting to see how everyone adapts to the pitch clock this season. There was an article today regarding Scherzer and how he was trying to manipulate the clock by being super slow on one pitch and then throwing a pitch as soon as the clock starts the next pitch.

That could definitely throw off a batters timing and buy a cheap strike or out.

Again, it is only ST and i'm sure that there will be minor tweaks to the rule changes as we go along.

He made the batter use their only time out, and then stood there set as he got back in the box.

He was playing chess and the batter was still on checkers

At least the OF shift has a more painful downside than the infield shift. It wasn’t worth punching a single the other way, but a double or triple the other way may incentivize guys to beat the shift.

clvclv has made the journey beyond the Field of Dreams.

I'm sure he argued with his doctor from his usual position of confident ignorance, and was probably wrong.

I wasn’t sure if this had been addressed on here seeing as I don’t lurk on the board in the offseason much and have just recently started perusing again a little before ST but he passed away back in October…

It totally slipped my mind to post anything about it because I was dealing with a death in the family around the same time…

Sorry about CLV. We didn't agree on much but he was someone who would put things out even though he knew he would likely be attacked for it (sometimes rightly so). He stood by his convictions. And he had some good takes at times IMO. Hope he gets a luncheon with Neikro and the Hammer.
