It’s funny because the rationale for batting Freeman 3rd was stated as increasing his RBI chances now that the pitcher is batting 9th again. However, that exact logic somehow doesn’t apply to the best HR hitter in the organization.

They want to bat Acuna first, and Freeman third. The “logic” will be molded as required.

I'd like Touki to be a RP at this point. I think Ynoa as well. Give me some nasty, low priced RH RPs that can go multiple innings.

I'd use Wilson as the fifth starter. If Smiley's hurt then I might lean Ynoa over Wright.

Touki just can't seem to maintain his mechanics for long stretches of time. Ynoa just seems like a one time through the order guy to me.

You may end up being right about Ynoa. He might be a guy that can only navigate a lineup once.

My opinion on Newk is he needs to spend some time in AAA transitioning to the BP. During that time he needs to pick 1 of his breaking balls to pair with his rising FA. I think he should keep the slower breaking ball with more vertical movement, and ditch the slider, but I haven’t seen recent data on either pitch.

He's looked incredible and the slider has life again. I think his bout was COVID may have been the culprit last year.

At least you see it En. I still maintain he will adjust and be serviceable at the plate until he gets the experience. I don't think it'll kill the Braves initially to let him get those swings in the majors, but I get the Ender thing and service time scenario.

Adrianza homered today. I guess you kind of have to put him on the opening day roster, but I suspect if we do we'll end up DFAing him by mid-May, at the latest.
