one of the differences between this year's team and last year's (and it is an important difference) is that this year's version of Ryan Flaherty will be in AAA instead of receiving 182 major league plate appearances.

The point I was trying to make is that those two had an unbelievable start to the season and were big time contributors for a few weeks...the division race would have been much closer if not for those two

Excellent post. We rode their pumpkins until we knew they turned into an actual one. We probably would have lost some games if they did not contribute.
a lot of players go thru hot streaks tho. even "bad" ones like flaherty and florimon.
