Allard...
4.0 ip 3 h 1 er 1 bb 5 k

Seems the k rate is rising, but he's not going as deep in games bc of it.

Ynoa...
4.0 ip 4 h 1 er 1 bb 4 k
9.9 k9 for season
3.74 season era

I really like this guy, but have a feeling he'll be one of the guys that we trade at the deadline

Allard is the guy with the largest difference between "stuff" and "stats" in the system.

Either the scouting reports on his stuff are inaccurate (most likely plus movement), or he is succeeding in the high minors with pitchability that won't translate to long term MLB success (which we've seen countless times). That 4.8% HR/FB rate is also silly low, so the 2.80 ERA is a bit of an illusion.

I am really looking forward to seeing him get some time at the MLB level so we can answer this conundrum.

I'm anxious to see him in the majors as well. I'm hoping him being left handed, having plus command, and having 3 pitches will make his floor a 4-5 starter. If he can establish anything like decent stuff then he suddenly becomes a potential 2.

I actually think it’s Zimmerman who has bad stuff, but Allard is the highest rated one with the disparity.
