Let me jump in here. I think I know what he's saying and I more or less agree. Newcomb's control issues have to do with not finishing the pitch, almost 100% of the time. When he misses, he misses high and away and his release point is a Klick or two high. I think it's because he's striding long and doesn't always bend his back, or follow through to the left shin guard, however you prefer to think of it.

He's not spraying the ball indiscriminately, and his strikes aren't accidents. Sound about right, Striker?

On a related note, he threw about eight really good change ups in his last start, including one on a 3-2 count to their catcher. That one almost gave me wood.
