TDA with a base hit in his first plate appearance. 3 games in a row with a hit.

Actually wound up with 2 before he headed to the park to organize his locker so he doesn't have to mess with it tomorrow on the off day - might as well get that taken care of today while he was out so he doesn't have to get there early tomorrow.

Interesting to see Minter go 1 1/3 today. Are the Braves catching on to the concept that relief pitchers can pitch more than one inning at a time?

That's another of those things that seems screwy - Snitker openly said today that he was TOLD there's no reason to be concerned about having Rodriguez go back out after finishing an inning and sitting down. Does that mean he's been told NOT TO do that with the other guys out there?

I overstated the case. I think Matzek and Chavez have both gone more than an inning at a time as has Tomlin, although Tomlin is usually in a low leverage role when that happens. Pitcher position in the batting order often dictates short relief stints and maybe things change a bit if and when the NL goes to the DH. I just have seen too many times when I'm scratching my head thinking "Decent lead or non-insurmountable deficit and the pitcher was slated to bat. Why not go two?" Of course, you need pitchers capable of doing that.
