Thinking of having a contest -- whose uniform will Wright and Camargo wear next year?

Agreed. Camargo as been skipped for call ups pretty much all season. He is done in a Braves uniform

Remember there was some discussion prior to the season if he should have been DFA'd or tendered a contract which I believe was about $1.5 million. Guess that gamble did not pay off, but at the time the depth was needed.

I was surprised when he was tendered a contract last off-season. I think it was a two-way deal where if he stayed in the big leagues, he'd get the $1.5 million, but would play at a reduced rate if he were in the minors (I could be way off base on that, but I seem to recall it). Camargo came to the big leagues as a defense-centric middle infielder with an awesome arm, but he beefed up, had a good season at 3B, and somehow lost his ability to play SS (and maybe even 2B) in the process. He's a 1B/3B guy now and I don't think he hits enough to warrant extensive major league time at those positions. The OF experiment with him didn't last long at all. Being able to play passable SS is an underrated value for a prospective utility guy. Look at Adrianza.

Interesting thing looking at his splits at Gwinnett and his OPS was > .900 both against LHP and RHP. He still hits LHP better, but did well enough against RHP to dispel some of the concern that he is useless against RHP.
