Sunday vs reds...Going for series win (no FF)

On the bright side, we could be the phillies who found a way to lose a series to the white sox. That is embarrassing.

It's amazing how it feels like we win more convincingly on the road, whereas we thread the needle often at home.

Agreed. Certainly seems like it. It's basically even though overall. My guess is that we've had a couple of blowouts at home to skew the #s and then a lot more 1 run affairs

Home Run Diff: +31 (67 games - 32-25)
Away Run Diff: +27 (66 games - 34-22)

Regression to inputs coming all at once for Greene, which is ... less than ideal.

I know closers are supposed to go back to back...but day game after night game that was fairly taxing...I was surprised to see Greene out there...based on rest and usage considerations I was expecting Martin

He had just done it with Luke last week. So it really shouldn’t be surprising. Twit is not a good manager that we are stuck with.

Think it was to show confidence more than anything. I don't really have a problem with the decision

It was. Sent a message to the player we have faith in you regardless. However, that doesn’t mean it is right when you show faith in a guy but don’t put him in a favorable spot to succeed. Our pen is deeper now and we should avoid going to guys back to back if at all possible. It was possible to avoid Greene yesterday and still have an effective pitcher.

As is typical, Snit doesn't know how to use the deep talented roster AA has given him.

At some point AA has to either build a roster Snit can deploy properly, or get a manager that can deploy the roster properly.

Would prefer the latter. A new manager who knows when and how to use the talent he's given would be wonderful. It would probably also give posters less to complain about.

We are in the new era of cox. I know there is love for the guy who delivered us such winning So I won’t bash him directly. But when we finish this decade of winning and making playoffs but nothing to show. Will we look back at twit as a hall of famer who guided us through such a glorious stretch.

I think there will be a lot who will forget these things we talk about today and just excuse the lack of championships to dumb luck. The new age of cox has begun. And we can’t escape it. I can’t see AA ever having the balls to fire a manager is winning despite being completely over matched for the job.

Brian Snitker isn’t half the manager or baseball mind Bobby Cox was, let’s get that straight first.
