Tankathon draft pick watch

I didn't realize just how likely the Braves are to earn a very good pick in the 2026 draft. With teams like the Rockies and Nats out of the running, the Braves are currently the 2nd most likely team to get the #1 pick.

This is by far the most exciting thing about the 2025 season.

That's why winning games now just hurts us. There are 2-3 really really legit guys right now for next year and I know that can change during next season but Roch Cholowsky is the guy we need bad.

I think I read where we were upwards of 20% chance?

Thats crazy, but I'd dang sure take it.

A great college player or two would inject a lotta life into this team.

I’ve looking at it like a reverse pennant race to keep following the season. I’ve been scoreboard watching with the A’s, Baltimore, Orioles, etc the last couple weeks and rooting for them to win. As a Jaguars/Magic fan, I’m built for this.

Same lol. A's have been on a roll and the Pirates.

So I assume there's a rule that if you get the #1 pick you can't get it again for a certain number of years?
It's super confusing, but "teams who draft in the top 6 can’t do so 3 years in a row (teams that pay into revenue sharing can not do so twice in a row) so regardless of how bad Oakland is this year they won’t be picking higher than 10th in the 2025 draft."

That's why the Rockies are picking 10th in 2026. They will be terrible forever.
