Tax Bill

When you consider that not a single Democrat voted for tax cuts for Americans, and then this very thread there is no celebration of the good news from the left, it makes you wonder how the left will defend this in 2018

Oh wait I already know... Anybody who supported it is racist

Just wait till Trump tweets out regularly for Americans to check how much more they are making in the weekly/bi-weekly paychecks. When people have more money for vacations/activities/gifts/etc.. they will realize. Its a joke that no Democrat voted for tax relief for their constituency.

When should see this ?

I don't know - Do you work? You may never see it.

But the majority of Americans will see it real soon. They will have less withdholdings on their paychecks starting either in late January or early February. Enjoy having to explain to your base that more money in their pocket is not a good thing.

My company of 70,000 employees just announced today (internally) that they are raising minimum wage for all US employees to $15/hr

And crazy enough, they didn't need the government to force them into it!

Silence from the Maxists on this board.

I don't see how the Dems look at voters in the face and say they didn't vote for this. What a great reform for America.

It is bizarre to me that none of our leftists friends have much to say on this thread.

You'd think we could all celebrate the news being reported

Just like the Trump thread the opposition voice has been all but silenced after being proved wrong. Just like Venezuela has failed America has succeeded. There is no debate. There is only one economic philosophy that actually improves peoples lives. Take that communist crap elsewhere.

But how do people benefit from lower corporate tax rates?

In addition to this

Today BGE will file with the Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) to pass approximately $82 million in annual tax savings to customers, resulting from federal tax cost reductions. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which decreased the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent, was signed into law on Dec. 22, 2017 and became effective on Jan. 1, 2018. Not even sure it matters anymore to post these things. The marxists on this board will not admit they were wrong.

It's not whether or not the motivations behind decisions are cynical or not, it's that the cynic in me can't help but doubt that these employee/public good initiatives will last past the news cycle. It's undoubtedly good that Wells Fargo and Fifth Third are raising the living conditions for their associates and it doesn't ultimately matter why. What will change my opinion is if future growth leads to similar decisions by these types of companies. Until that happens, I will at least wonder if they're trying to influence public opinion by making a token improvement for employees instead of exhibiting a pattern of behavior.

Are you convinced yet?

Just wait till it comes out with absolute certainty that the Russia scandal was a farse. There may not be any more posts in the Real Talk forum.
