T-minus 12 minutes until the iPhone 6 preorder. Debating what to go with.

This is going to be an epic release. 10 million plus iPhone6's I predict. Opening weekend record was set last year at 8 million iPhone5c and 5s's sold.

10 million at $700 a pop is $7 billion dollars in three days.

I'm not sure where the sales will be. Barring there have been some kind of mass exodus in the past year which numbers don't indicate, I think it will beat it's number from last year. But it was yet again another tepid announcement. One thing that I think people will really like is that apple seemingly finally acknowledged that increased storage is cheap as they ditched the +100 for 32 and +200 for 64 for +100 64 and +200 128. I don't think the 128 model will sell that well, but I think they'll see more in the 64 range then they did in the 32 because it seems like a better deal. I'm sure the cost is basically equal but the direction moved in the android side was flagships start with 32 and have expandable memory so apple had to react and I think did well from their profit standpoint.

Yeah Sav you just need to get on an icecream for breakfast diet and it'll fit like a charm

Wasn't it Apple who said customers wouldn't want such a large screen?

Now their 6+ is actually a LARGER phone than any phone on the market, but it's screen is still smaller. How dumb.

The iPhone 6 release was a huge disappointment. But the sheep will be sheep. At least my stock will continue to rise.

The iPhone 5 was the first concession that apple was wrong on their opinion of screen size, but first they stuck with the "fits in one hand" approach. What will be interesting is to see who cleans up the smaller screen market as there are people living there. For the next 2 years apple has the 5C and 5S but I'm guessing that 2 years from now they'll have the 7m 7 and 7+ And they may ditch the hang onto 2 year old iPhone method/free iphone method.

BTW interesting information I'm looking up comparing the iPhone 6 to other flagships on the size department.

iPhone screen size is 4.7 inches, it's physical size is 5.44x2.64x0.27
Moto X screen size is 5.2 inches it's physical size is 5.54x2.85x0.39
LG G3 screen size is 5.5 inches it's physical size is 5.76x2.94x0.35
GS4 screen size is 5.1 inches it's physical size is 5.56x2.85x0.32
HTC One screen size is 5.0 inches it's physical size is 5.76x2.78x0.37

Comparing the "phablet" market

iPhone 6 plus has a 5.5 inch screen it's physical size is 6.22x3.06x0.28
LG G3 has a 5.5 inch screen it's phycial size is 5.76x2.94x0.35
Note 4 has a 5.7 inch screen it's physical size is 6.04x3.09x0.33

Basically it looks like Apple is going for a skinnier phone with a much larger bezel. Chick means it should have a better pocket feel but worse hand feel.

It's like some of you guys need a computer attached to every limb and inside of every orifice.

I don't get it.

Engadget on the 360: http://www.engadget.com/2014/09/12/moto-360-review/

With its stylish good looks, comfortable feel and overall premium build, the Moto 360 is the Android Wear watch to beat. When it comes to design, at least, it outclasses everything else on the market. Aside from aesthetics, the 360 offers many of the same features as its rivals, including a heart rate sensor and a pedometer, plus some other goodies like wireless charging and an ambient light sensor.

Even with the design, though, Motorola didn't totally get it right. The 360's large size is a legitimate concern for narrow-wristed individuals, and the experience is dampened by various imperfections that include cutoff notifications and that "flat tire" at the bottom of the screen. What's more, the battery life is actually worst in class -- and that's saying a lot considering other Android Wear watches also need to be charged once a day.

All told, the smartwatch landscape is so new that I'd recommend waiting to see if something better comes along. Sure, the Moto 360 is the best option right now, but it might be obsolete in just a few months. That said, if you want to jump on the Android Wear wagon now, the Moto 360 is your best bet.

It's like a step above Meh.

I still want one, but will probably end up waiting to see what prices do around Black Friday. Or maybe try to score a really cheap G watch or Gear Live.

Are you still going to try to get one ASAP zito?

Supposedly mine was delivered today. My living situation is weird so it may be held at a different building until Monday

So I'm in day 1 of my Moto 360 use. I got it last night and played with it a bit before bed getting used to it. I found a watch face I adore. With ambient sensor spot, it's basically not noticeable with a black watchface. I used my moto connect to customize my watch face and have a really cool looking face. As someone who doesn't wear watches it's taking some getting used to actually wearing a watch. It's a little large but totally fine for me. It looks like a normal watch looks like on a non-giant. Love the notification system. I'm turning off active notifications on my MOto X with the hope of improving it's battery life a bit to adjust for Bluetooth Radio being on. I worked on responding to texts and sending texts last night, and it rocks. PLayed with a few apps for it. Like it so far will see how the full day test works out today.

About 5 hours into the day, currently sitting at 78% battery left. As the day has gotten on I've gotten more used to it. Again as I said above, I'm not a watch guy.

So at about hour 13 now (which is pretty much a common day of out and about usage) I'm still sitting with about 40% remaining. If this is the normal battery life I'll be very happy. It outlasted my phone though my phone was hampered by my games.

Hate to admit it but.... I'm underwhelmed by IOS 8. To be fair, I'm running it on the 4s., but it feels like the same stuff as the last 4 years. The 6's price tag for 64GB seems steep too.

I'm not backing down from my anti droid advertising sermon, but ......I'm bored.

Why does the 6 only have an 8mp camera again? Does the human eye not see the diff? I've never played with anything else, so I have no idea.

I like the Note series as I want a bigger phone. Would I regret going with the Note III instead of this years model? Price would be the main concern.

Serve me up some crow I can't resist.
