I've never really felt there was a war on Christmas but admittedly I wouldn't be sensitive to the early volleys if there was. These Christians however are making some noise. I don't get it at all. I see nothing wrong with a simple red cup.

This is a huge problem for some people, who feel that the plain red cups are oppressing Christians by insulting Christmas.

I've received Christmas gifts with strictly red or green glossy solid paper. No candy canes trees reindeer Santa chimney snowflakes etc on it. I've always associated those colors with Christmas anyways.
 
All I know is I stumbled across a radio station Saturday that was already playing Christmas music. Are we that damn depressed as a country? Just stop it.

This is one of the main reasons, just so you know, why I don't believe Christians should get involved in politics. It just give really evil people with very selfish motives another tool with which to deceive and use the masses for their own purposes. If it helps any, I feel the same way about most Christians getting involved in amateur bomb diffusing.

Dude, it was extreme sarcasm (which is probably why I got it) showing that Christians often complain about stuff that isn't that freakin' important while our brethren worldwide have REAL problems and complain far less than we do about a freakin' coffee cup.

No avoiding getting into politics - unless you become Amish. And I don't think the Gospel is something to be pigeon-holed - it has implications for all of life. That said, idiot Christians need to stuff it.

Well technically I'm not against Christians diffusing bombs IF they know what they're doing, it's when they just "assume" they know what they're doing that they get into trouble. Politics is IMO no less dangerous than bombs. If Christians, who have been exposed to, and supposedly accepted, the ultimate truth would actually learn how to recognize other truths, and therefore know the difference between truth and BS propaganda then I'd be OK with it, but we both know that isn't true about 90% of the time. Blindly supporting evil people and their agendas just because they have "the right letter after their name" has caused so many problems in this country and around the world I couldn't even begin the try and calculate it.
 
that got lost in the Limbaugh Scorched Earth of the early 90's where he advised to never compromise out of the Conservative position.

I'm not following you. Connect the dots for me between dumb rant against Starbuck's and the point you are making (I think you are saying Christians shouldn't be involved at all in politics).
