Tentative Minor League Rosters (OFFICIAL!)

Also looks like they’re developing Freddy Tarnok as a reliever. Pretty surprised by that one after taking him in the third round last year out of HS.

He’s not listed to start any of the first five games but is listed on the lineup card for tonight as available out of the bullpen.

With 6 OFs on the roster in Gwinnett, I kinda wonder if DPete won't spend some time at 1B to add versatility. Can't imagine they'd give him much time at 3B, but you've got Colon and Santana to use there when Rio gets days off.

Going to be interesting to see how everyone's going to get ABs - even after Manchild gets promoted.

Interesting. I remember hearing he’s super raw but had a lot of potential, so they must not think he has what it takes to develop more than two pitches. He still has shown good velocity in the past though (I remember hearing 96+), so maybe he can be a lights out guy for us from the pen.

I'm surprised Burrows is repeating Rome. There was a lot of buzz about him during the off-season.

Rome used Rangel in relief tonight and I think he was slated to be in the rotation. I think there's going to be a lot of shuffling in the early going. Let's remember that Tarnok didn't pitch until his senior year in high school (and that was last year), so they may want to school him on some finer points and bring him along slowly.

All of that about Tarnok is why I was kind of stunned to see him even on the Rome roster. I thought he was for sure a guy they’d hold for Danville.

I had the same thought. He could work out of the pen in Rome until Danville starts and join the rotation down there. Curious to see how they handle some of the younger guys.

If this was the old front office, I would be pretty sure they were having him get some time before Danville starts
