I'm old enough to remember when what was plead for was tolerance. The problem now is no one is tolerant of anyone with a differing viewpoint from their own.

Tolerance is not approval. It's just the acknowledgement that you shouldn't punish someone because of the thing you disagree or dislike about them.

Sadly the same people who once begged for tolerance are now the people enforcing organized intolerance.
