72% approval rating from speech and he handled the idiot hecklers like a champ. Even had McCarthy giving him standing Os.

You have to admit that even if you aren't a public supporter of this very decent and fair man, that was an impressive, and very Presidential display.

And by my calculation, during the time of the speech a whole bunch of new jobs were created.
 
Maybe filled not created because everyone’s having to get extra jobs because of his record inflation.

Or to buy guns because of the sky high crime rates
 
If Democrats operated like Republicans they would take that heckling and use it as an excuse to bring bullhorns to drown out the speech next time a Republican gives the speech.

The Republicans suspected he would bring up Social Security and they were going to try to drown him out with denials because they are just barely smart enough to have figured out that like abortion, cutting Social Security is another political loss for them. But, funny thing about video and written evidence. Now they look even more duplicitous and untrustworthy than before, though don't see how that's possible.

And we all know that if they had the chance, they would take an ax to it.

In 2006, no Democrats joined Republicans in voting for the debt limit increase. Biden explained his no vote this way: "Because this massive accumulation of debt was predicted, because it was foreseeable, because it was unnecessary, because it was the result of willful and reckless disregard for the warnings that were given and for the fundamentals of economic management, I am voting against the debt limit increase."

Yeah this Ohio derailment needs to be a much bigger story. Hazmat experts are starting to say this is basically the equivalent of nuking an area with chemicals. This is going to be an absolute humanitarian disaster there. Tanker cars mis-identified, the decision to blow up the wreckage just to clear the tracks... not good.
