The Biden Presidency

One quick check for the pro-Trump folks declaring openly that Tapper and the other reporters writing about Biden are telling us exactly what happened: why do you trust them exactly now when selling a book? Were the books on Trump by the same people accurate?
 
Actually I feel like they are probably sugar coating the truth because they were the ones behind it .

If they told what the raw truth was they’d all be out of jobs and possibly in jail

Kind of a silly question, no?

When people criticize the media it’s because they believe the media filtering everything through a prism of their worldview. It doesn’t mean everything they say is a lie. With respect to Biden, it’s very clear the media has a liberal bias and they didn’t want to be accused of damaging their candidate while he was running against Donald Trump. As soon as he was no longer the candidate, they were happy to entertain the discussion that he was senile.

Yes and no. My point here isn’t to cast doubt on the reporting or to criticize people for distrusting the media. But I do think it’s every bit as important to remember that those same prisms and filters exist in our personal viewpoints and there’s no shortage of people committing some confirmation biases to selectively believe these reporters when it fits their narrative.

if you’re point is that people have a cognitive bias, then well duh.

It’s a less interesting conversation than discussing why power structures would cover something up
 
It’s because nobody needs tapper to tell us what was happening. Any reasonable person already knew from the 2020 election season forward.

All he did was stop lying.

Lots of people need to go to jail for many other reasons attributable to coup they took place in 2020.

Unelected officials were effectively the president of the United States. Democrats cheered along like stupid seals.

I think there needs to be a distinction made between legitimate criticism and the people who like media bias but dont think media not heavily biased in their favor shouldnt be allowed to exist. I dont think the cognitive thing with Biden was a big deal. If his opponent was a young sharp guy and there was some contrast then sure its a story. When both candidates are old as dirt with serious mental issues whats the point of the story. Thats an issue for the primary.

100% agreed.

The alternative media the right has offered as a replacement are bigger cucks than the mainstream apparatuses could ever dream to be.
