This might be an unpopular opinion, but this seems like a good thing to do. Even if the people in the State Department are perhaps being absurd, I’m happy to spend a little money looking after the emotional health of the people handling our international diplomacy for the next 60 days. It’s not like these folks are going to be in the government come January, and I’d imagine the type of people in those roles are the types that are in quite the little bubble.
