The Biden Presidency

Ban presidential pardons

100% agreed. I’m hoping the Hunter and Chinese pedophile pardons gets people riled up enough for reform, because while that was bad from a process standpoint, *these* are the pardons that should actually erode public trust. The only thing this person and the judge from last week did to earn their pardon was be politically connected, and they took their money by directly betraying the average American.

The most charitable thing one could say about Biden is maybe he's so far gone mentally that he doesn’t really know what he’s doing anymore.

To me half of what he's doing isn't worse than Trump pardoning Stone, Manafort, Milken, etc.

After seeing that and no one freaking out, any president would easily lead to them doing **** like this.

At this point, I would pretty much guarantee Biden was given a list and just told to "sign here." There is no way any competent person looks as these cases and decides these people deserve clemency.

I think people are rightfully freaking out about the pardon being given to the kids for cash judge that imprisoned kids unlawfully

Many of them committed suicide or never left prison

Idk if Manafort imprisoned children but maybe he did

It's been awhile since I cared about those guys, so I could easily be forgetting the details, but those guys were convicted on white collar crimes that typically don't have physical victims, other than the American people in general. While I don't condone those crimes and I wish their sentences hadn't been commuted, anyone being honest with themselves can see a clear difference in morality on what they did, vs the egregious crimes committed by several of the criminals that Biden just pardoned.

And while maybe it's semantics, was it really necessary to legally pardon Shanlin Jin in a prisoner swap? Couldn't they have released him to Chinese authorities without legally giving him an actual pardon? That way, should he ever re-enter the US or it's territories again, it would make him fugitive.

‘Got it absolutely wrong’
Former Pennsylvania Judge Michael Conahan was convicted in 2011 in what was infamously called the “kids-for-cash” scandal, where he took kickbacks from for-profit detention centers in exchange for wrongly sending juveniles to their facilities. The case was widely considered to be one of the worst judicial scandals in Pennsylvania history.

Like all of the other nearly 1,500 people who got commutations from Biden this week, Conahan was freed from prison due to Covid. His house arrest was set to end in 2026.

The misconduct of Conahan and another Luzerne County judge led the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to throw out 4,000 juvenile convictions, and the discredited state judges were ordered to pay $200 million to the victims, according to the Associated Press.

Sandy Fonzo – the mother of Edward Kenzakoski, who died by suicide after spending time behind bars as part of the kickback scheme – said she was “shocked… and hurt” after learning of Biden’s decision to commute the rest of Conahan’s punishment.

“Conahan‘s actions destroyed families, including mine, and my son‘s death is a tragic reminder of the consequences of his abuse of power,” Fonzo told the Citizens’ Voice, a local outlet. “This pardon feels like an injustice for all of us who still suffer. Right now I am processing and doing the best I can to cope with the pain that this has brought back.”

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, also said Friday at an unrelated news conference in Biden’s hometown of Scranton that, “I do feel strongly that President Biden got it absolutely wrong and created a lot of pain here in northeastern Pennsylvania.”

When Zito typed "To me half of what he's doing isn't worse than Trump pardoning Stone, Manafort, Milken, etc." I knew which side I'd come out on.... amazing

People must be really invested in defending their votes. This guys gonna go down as one of the worst to ever sit in office.

…what’s the outrage here? That her hobbies include theater instead of getting giant RVs from wealthy friends?

The outrage is that a supreme court justice is yet another freak who has no business ruling on my rights, especially since she's not a biologist, and can pursue her career as a non binary queer Broadway actress without shoving her marxism down my throat

They did exactly this though. He wasn’t pardoned, the rest of his sentence was commuted under the condition that he never returns.

You are just the biggest ****ing snowflake sometimes. Sorry that someone who has views and interests that aren’t the same as yours has the chance to be one of the 3 or 4 dissenting votes on a bunch of court cases that largely go your way for the next decade.

Its my opinion that a Supreme Court justice shouldn't feel emboldened to embrace publicly debasing herself in a freak show

It tells me her judgement is awful. He tells me she is a woke freak. It tells me she is a terrible justice and I'm reminded she's only there bc of her skin color and genitalia (quoted directly from the person who nominated her)

Biden ordered 11 govt agencies to investigate Elon Musk and do work with Reueters to dig and cause problems at his businesses

What a piece of ****

One thing I believe but know I can’t justify believing is that a lot of the tech billionaires suddenly got disillusioned with the left not because of disagreements over social issues but rather because they (correctly) deduced Trump would simply be open to letting them operate their businesses with less regulation if they publicly supported his causes.
