I know next to nothing about her, so I’m not sure how qualified she really is. Still, a brief Google shows she was the state Secretary of Health in PA, which is certainly a step ahead of the qualifications of many Trump nominees.

I guess here is as good a place as any to talk about the inauguration. Harris just arrived. There's something about her that just comes off as phony. I think Biden could have done better for a VP with someone like Duckworth or Warren.

Harris probably my least favorite mainstream politician ever. She is the fakest person who has ever run.

At least she rode the coattails of the old white dude to break that glass ceiling

i hope Biden can use this moment and move the agenda that is usually blocked by Mitch
 
I really hope Biden is sincere about his calls for unity and the value of disagreement. As a rule I don't believe politicians calling for unity but it's a nice speech.

biden and democrats capitulate way more often than the other side does

so, i feel the burden of action for unity falls more on the other side

but so be it

True unity is not capitulation but instead finding the common ground on which agreement can be made. It's incumbent upon all in Government to seek that common ground. The burden does not fall on one side or the other.

i still say the first step has to be from the ones that pushed the big lie and still haven't come out and said that Biden won free and fairly etc

until that happens, i don't think we are attempting at true unity

I don’t think Nancy ever came to the table to swallow those words either because politicians are arrogant SOBs, so I wouldn’t hold my breathe
