A fetus is less self aware than many animals we have no problem allowing to be killed. The origin of the pro-life movement goes back to enforcing sexual morality.Those people have come up with all sorts of stupid arguments to make their point more convincing and given the chokehold religious nut jobs have on the Republican Party these ideas have spread like wild fire.
Conservatives don’t care about women and the truth is many don’t care about the children either once they’re born. At its heart this is about attaching risk to sexuality. Most other arguments are bad science designed so they can get people upset and get their way. This is the work of religious nuts.

I meant don’t care about the women involved. Fanatical pro-lifers certainly have plenty of middle aged and older fussy duddirs who pregnancy is no longer a concern. They can actually be the biggest priudrs.
I’ve frankly had it with any respect for social conservatives especially when hearing about their freedoms while having no regard for other people’s freedom. The Republican version of the Constitution isn’t fit to use as toilet paper.

Conservative women know where their bread is buttered. Taking a political stands often isolates and weakens one's social power. Women are particularly vulnerable which gets back to the original issue.
