The key word there is extremist. Again, if protesting or vocally disagreeing is the standard by which they determine someone is a terrorist, I’ll happily join your chorus. But these are the same motivations that can lead to violence and acts of terror. Just like someone’s faith isn’t alone a reason to suspect them as a terrorist, but can be warped to lead to it.

I think this graphic might have been a fun opportunity for the Bee to point out that both sides only like the filibuster when they’re in the minority. The filibuster certainly didn’t matter when McConnell or Reid wanted to get judges through.

Such as making exceptions so you can get your SCOTUS nominees through without bipartisan support?
 
Ted Cruz had a bill before the Senate today to sanction Russia. It failed, with only 55 votes. While 55 is enough to pass, it wasn't enough to defeat Senator Schumer's filibuster of the bill. I expect to hear the President denounce the Senate Majority Leader as a Bull Connor, Jeff Davis, Jim Crow scalawag on the evening news tonight for standing in the way of the majority.
