The former Presidents company was just convicted on 17 counts of fraud and none of you bat an eye, I wonder how you would be treating that if it was Joe Bidens company. Probably the biggest news to ever break. And you wonder why we yawn at your fake outrages.

Biden has dropped out of a Presidential race for plagiarizing someone in a speech. Thats like .001% as bad as being forced to pay fines and reimbursements for numerous frauds over the years. Trump University, Trump Organization, Charity scams, and scamming his own donors. The current thing they want to hold Democrats accountable for was done by the Trump administration. Trump has lowered the bar. No reason for Democrats to care about anything that isnt a crime.

I don’t understand the appeal of Trump in 2022. (I didn’t understand it in 2016 either).
That doesn’t mean I have to carry water for Biden.
In my eyes each represent the worst parts of their ideologies.

When I defend Biden it's mostly to mock the way MAGA supports Trump. I hate him with a passion. That said Biden is a moderate. He was one of the most conservative Democrats in his time as a Senator. Hardly the worst of the left ideology.

If you were to give a percent, what percent of elected Democrats do you think are to the right of Joe Biden. What is and isnt a moderate position is debatable. You might say his spending isnt moderate but every President has spent more than the previous. Obama wasnt considered a moderate on spending but Trump spent more than he did and he is considered a strong fiscal conserative. So wheres the moderate position on spending exactly. I am sure some here would say Merrick Garland's appointment and actions arent moderate but I think he has been too fair to Trump and Republicans. Biden's move on rescheduling marijuana is the epitome of a moderate position. So I dont really know what is even considered the moderate position anymore. Both sides are moving to more extremes and that changes what the moderate position is. The Republican party is so far out there I might consider any Republican politician who still support Democracy a moderate.
Sometimes it blows my mind that this country was ever able to pass sweeping changes like social security and medicare.
If they never existed, and some politician tried to promote these programs today they'd be called farther left than Pelosi or AOC.
Somehow we live in a world where people claim Biden is somehow farther to the left of Obama.
Biden has been a centrist blue dog his entire political career, the idea he's some radical leftist makes me laugh.
Republicans have moved the goal posts on what's moderate anymore.
Before 2016, you can find Kasich had a lot of wild positions that would have made him a right winger. In 2016 he was considered the moderate because he didn't appear nuts on the stage and sounded as if he might have been a voice of reason.
Now Liz Cheney, is supposedly a moderate Republican LOL.

I think the general idea of social security is good, its the implementation thats the problem. Poor people cant and wont save anything for retirement. The money you pay in should be tied to you only and you should be allowed to invest that money as you go. As it stands now its just a giant ponzi scheme.
