The Biden Presidency

I cannot comprehend why you are so aggressively avoiding a very simple question.

Is it racist to require an ID to participate in something?

No one has made that claim at any point.

I'm not answering it because you're going to follow it with a false equivalency

that claim has certainly been made

and I'm well aware why you won't answer.

but you'd think your unwillingness to do so would be a bit of an embarrassing "aha" moment for you

No, I don't recall ever hearing a single person on this list saying needing a drivers license to drive a car is racist.

Me neither.

But I have heard them say needing a driver's license to vote is racist

Such as the current president.

So help me with the logic here... If needing a license to vote is racist - because it's harder for black.people to obtain that license - then what is it if we require a license to fly?

It should be noted that some of us favor a form of national id to obviate the need for a driver's license to vote. If I am not mistaken it is some of our libertarian friends who view a national id as some sort of threat to "muh rights."

Where in the constitution is your right to fly guaranteed?

Here I'll answer part of this on the constitutional right to vote

AMENDMENT XV - Passed by Congress February 26, 1869. Ratified February 3, 1870.

Section 1.
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude--

Section 2.
The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

AMENDMENT XIX - Passed by Congress June 4, 1919. Ratified August 18, 1920.

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

AMENDMENT XXIV - Passed by Congress August 27, 1962. Ratified January 23, 1964.

Section 1.
The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay poll tax or other tax.

Section 2.
The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

3 different amendments protecting and guaranteeing a right to vote. There's nothing related to flight.

Again, you just look dumber and dumber and dumber.

I cannot comprehend how you are unable to follow this

I'm not asking about the constitution. I'm asking about if it's racist or not.

One has nothing to do with the other.

So I'll try again. Does zito think requiring an ID to fly is racist against black people... Discriminating against them more than against white people?

It's a very straightforward and simple question for you

You don’t have to get or show a DL at all. You can just have an ID.

Is that still racist ?

No. Making it easy and universal to have an id is the way to go. That's why I favor a national id. But until that happens if a state institutes a universal id that is a good thang.

What's going on here was Tapate trying to be snarky, and me thoroughly proving him stupid and you doubling down on his stupidity. YOu could have walked away a dozen times. But you haven't.

You got ****ed and now you're trying to get me in a gotcha moment.

Here let me make this point clear. You attempting to compare something that is strictly a luxury (flight) to something that is a constitutional right (voting) goes to show how out of touch you are.

Nope, that's not the question.

What are you now, decupled down on this? Had you taken the L you wouldn't be continuing to make an ass of yourself while not proving the point you want to prove.

What do you mean that is not the question?

I am asking that question.

Your refusal to answer is baffling.
