I'm not an Elizabeth Warren fan and her reaction is hyperbolic as is often the case.

However, to call it a 9-0 decision is a bit misleading. it was a 9-0 decision in favor of the appellant but a 5-4 decision in terms of how it interpreted the Clean Water Act. In any case I don't think the 5 in the majority acted in a radical way. I think it was one of those cases where reasonable people could interpret the law differently.

Attempts by people like Elizabeth Warren to undermine the legitimacy of legal decisions just cuz they disagree with the outcome are as repugnant as those that characterize judges such as Judge Mehta as crazy or biased or unfair.

Yes. I think if a politician or adherents to a particular ideology called for setting aside or not adhering to judicial decisions just cuz they didn't like the outcome that would be something that threaten the whole constitutional arrangement.

The governor of NJ (D) recently said he might just disregard court rulings about birth control pills if he didn't like them. It seems to me this is a dangerous path to embark upon.

We can all have opinions about whether a ruling is right or wrong but to question the validity and legitimacy of the judicial process does cut to the heart of our constitutional system.

If they want to take over 6 blocks of Seattle, for example, or storm the capitol to protest a law they don't like, they will call it a peaceful protest. And idiots like you will nod.

Likewise, when the courts say they can't murder babies, they will claim the court is illegitimate and simply ignore it.

On the flip side, if someone wearing a red hat does the exact same thing... well they are treasonous and must be dealt with
