The filing does not specify which arm of the federal government is conducting the investigation, what the probe is focused on or whether it’s a civil or a criminal probe, but the Securities and Exchange Commission acknowledged in May that it was investigating whether he properly disclosed a 9% stake he bought in the company, which became public in early April. Musk did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Forbes.

He won't make this money back quickly. Unless he reinvents their revenue model to be more like Metas. Even with shedding costs by firing people, only way that proves profitable is if you can keep revenue up.

It is a big **** you move. There's a reason the board approved the sale they'll not see this level of cash flow for years. My guess is this will take musk the better part of a decade or 2 before he makes this back. ANd he may never make it back compared to just putting money in the market.

Nobody who has decried the destruction of free speech believes you should’ve able to say absolutely everything without recourse. We just want those policies to be levied evenly to everyone. Only a fool thinks that has been happening.

Actual smart people like Musk know what’s been happening and stepped up to stop it.

Elon did it for his image. He’s still going to run Twitter in such a way to attempt to earn a profit. Notice one of his first steps was to make an appeal to advertisers.

Whether trump comes back or not is irrelevant to whether musk reinstates his account.

Naive mqt assures me trump was suspended purely for bottom line reasons. He also assures me musk is gonna drive twitter to maximize twitter. So it will be confusing why he would let trump back on
 
From what I gather twatter is a liberal cesspool. It wont do so well if those liberals leave. I kind of doubt they will. They will probably stay and just complain about it non stop, but Twatter has no future without those crazy liberals.
 
What I know is hunter laptop doesn't get censored with musk at the helm. That alone swings the election to trump.
