The Braves won 106 games in 1998.

It's hard to stay at that pace all year. Our May schedule is brutal. Road series at Tor/Tex, Boston/LAD/Phi home games. We'll see what we're made of this month.

We do get some luck. We miss Boston's best starters. We miss Toronto's top 2 starters. And we miss DeGrom the following series

On pace for 103 wins, which would be the most since 1999.

That's with our fumbling of the Oakland series.

1. Ronald Acuna will be have a monstrous bounce back year and avoid injury.
2. Austin Riley has another incredible 6 WAR season.
3. Matt Olson has his best year as a Brave. Another 6 WAR contributor with 40 bombs.
4. Sean Murphy hits .250+ with 20 bombs and puts up a 4 WAR season in a dazzling debut behind the plate in Atlanta.
5. Ozzie Albies plays 155+ games.
6. Michael Harris proves last season was no fluke as he posts another 5 WAR campaign.
7. Marcell Ozuna re-focuses and puts together his best season since he was in St. Louis.
8. Orlando Arcia has a career year at shorstop.
9. Travis d'Arnaud and Eddie Rosario are positive contributors.
10. The lineup scores more runs than any Atlanta Braves team since 2003.

Is number 2 the only really questionable prediction right now for the offense?

You said Olson was going to have a 6 WAR season…

He'll get his 40 bombs. But yeah the Ks aren't good.

So 2 and 3. I think both can obviously turn it around, but would take a great couple months.

On the other end of the spectrum, it appears I UNDERESTIMATED Ronald.

You also said Michael Harris would post another 5 WAR season. I suppose he could have a monster 2nd half, but right now he's pacing to finish with about 1.5 - 2.0 fWAR.

He’ll probably beat that. He was hurt plus slumping hard. If he’s remotely normal he’ll put up more than 1.3 ROS

The missed time and slump will hurt Harris' overall numbers. But who here would be shocked at 2.5+ WAR in the 2nd half?

This is rich.

You ridiculed anybody suggesting Riley could be Troy Glaus. Then Riley turned out better than Troy Glaus.

You ridiculed anybody hyping up Harris as more than Adam Eaton at his peak. Harris puts up 5 WAR playing in 75% of the games at age 22.

You ridiculed thethe incessantly for being bullish on Braves pitching. The Braves now probably have the best rotation in baseball with two bona fide aces.

Those are your big whiffs. I am sure there are more.

You think you're the smartest guy in every room. You bash everyone for being "homers", which is silly. Of course we're homers! We're Braves fans! Fans is short for fanatics! There is no rationality in this ****- it's professional sports. We have little to no effect on the outcome of the games. So my approach is to hope for the best case scenario- and root for it. Amplify the hype to an insane degree, because that's fun, and see what happens. Get that through your head. Just because someone roots for a 99th percentile outcome does not mean they are stupid or wrong. Most of us aren't here to prove anything to anonymous posters online.

You may want to review what I said about Riley. You may want to review what Harris is currently doing. And you may want to review which pitchers tehteh was hyping…hint: it was guys like Newk who were supposed to post 5+ win seasons now.

I don’t whiff on my evaluation of pitchers once I have mlb statcast data, ever. I called exactly what Riley was doing as he was doing it. I said calling Harris the LHH Acuna was silly, and Eaton was an excellent player.

You…aren’t even supposed to be here anymore because you were wrong and I was right. Remember?

I am here to needle you for being the most insecure smart guy I've ever encountered online.

I guess being a software engineer in a ****ty, desolate Western state isn't enough validation.

Dinner at a Daniel Boulud restaurant of your choice on me any time you are in Manhattan, BUT you have to let me give you a swirlie afterwards.

PS: The Braves are on pace for 104 wins. I bet that makes you soooo angry that they're killing their preseason projection.

It’s adorable you have spread your wings and left the right wing ****hole you grew up in, but I can’t imagine any scenario that would get me back in NY.

And I think you consider yourself to be more memorable than you are. I honestly forgot you existed until you came back with your silly posts.

If I remember correctly you live in Nevada, which has a ruby red governor and a bunch of casino toadies in the legislature.

Maybe you'll become an Athletics fan now that he's pilfered the state coffers for a shiny new stadium on the Vegas strip.

I mean, let's think about how incredible that is.

Matt Olson is on pace for 55+ homers and 130+ RBI.

That has never been done in team history.

And . . . he's not even CLOSE to being the best player on his own team.
