The Coronavirus, not the beer

So once again: why is a mandate for a covid vaccine tyranny and one for chicken pox not.

Chicken pox kills about 150 people per year in this country. It is estimated that the vaccine mandate for school children saves about 100 lives per year.

I didn't have to show my chicken pox papers to go to a restaurant in NYC

My large employer has never asked me for my chicken pox records or else fire me

Also, I got chicken pox and don't think I ever got the vaccine? Could be wrong but my parents intentionally exposed me to. Chicken pox as a. Kid when a few of the neighbors had it

It's time for the govt to mandate Phizer built diet pills to every America to slow the spread of the obesity pandemic.

Obesity is causing 600k deaths per year. A pandemic of the fat.

And while it's true that diet pills don't stop the spread of obesity... It's SOMETHING.

Everyone must take them or risk going to jail.

....

Nsacpi: "makes sense! Public school children had to get chicken pox vaccine so sign me up!

^this is what a useful idiot looks like

Where does Hippa fall on all of this?

To my knowledge, there are questions you can and cannot ask of potential hires.

According to the article I quoted, the data was shared publicly for the first time in August. So kudos to Mrs. T for being ahead of the curve.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results of the big multi-center trials for both fluvoxamine and ivermectin. The more effective tools doctors have the better.

https://www.wired.com/story/better-data-on-ivermectin-is-finally-on-its-way/

“This is the first time these results have been presented in a public forum?” asked the moderator, Adrian Hernandez, director of the Duke Clinical Research Institute.

“Yeah,” Mills answered. “You are hearing it for the first time.”

Ok. Mrs T is a clinical pharmacist in the local hospital system.

She mentioned months ago there was progress made with anti depressants, and in this case because it alleviates pressure or inflammation in the lungs I believe.

Interesting questions. School districts require immunization records. Before going off to college my son had to go to their portal and upload an image of his covid vaccination card. He will be REQUIRED to take a booster AND a flu shot later this year. Employers are allowed to require a drug test of new employees. And for some jobs require periodic drug tests of ongoing employees.

Employers are more than free to require anything they want to work at their companies.

Explain that to the governors of Texas and Florida.

If you think that employers are making these decisions based on what they want and not the hysteria that is driven by the government you are crazy.

They knew this was coming down the pipe and thats why they are instituting these things.

Businesses just need to konw they aren't going to be liable from the federal government and they will drop all of these absurd requirements.

The things you quoted have nothing to do with this absurd mandate being decreed by King Biden.

Jobs require drug tests because its against the law and those that break the law are usually bad employees -1 and -2 they employer wants to save on their WC costs.

I have never in my life heard of being required to get a flu shot. That is a very odd requirement. We have an employee that reacts poorly to immunizations here. Probably our best employee in fact. I'd never dream of making her get something that makes her sick.

cold hard cash is the way to go...agree with Ross except those of us who got vaccinated early should get an extra large bonus...reward the virtuous...don't bother with scolding the nuts and losers

It should go without saying there should be medical exemptions for people like that.

Residents in apartment blocks locked-down by NSW Health are having their alcohol deliveries policed as part of a policy to limit the number of drinks being consumed each day.

NSW Health has imposed rules limiting people in “NSW Health controlled buildings” to a certain amount of alcohol each day in a bid to “ensure the safety of health staff and residents”.

Residents of the social housing estate have complained that care packages sent by friends and relatives have been searched before they are delivered.

“They are searching all bags and things coming into the building … They confiscated a series of gifts. So things like bottles of spirits, we weren’t allowed to have those and we still (aren’t),” Common Ground resident Robin Elhaj said.

Residents are allowed to receive a ration of one of the following: six beers or pre-mixed drinks, one bottle of wine, or one 375ml bottle of spirits.

Excess alcohol is being confiscated until lockdown rules are lifted.

Residents can consult with a clinician if they think they need more than the allowed limit.

A Sydney Local Health District spokeswoman confirmed the limits are in place in NSW Health’s Special Health Accomodation, where Covid-positive patients and close contacts are sent for isolation.

However it is unclear what powers NSW Health has to limit the delivery of alcohol to people isolating in their own homes; public health orders do not mention alcohol limits.

sounds like a mini version of Prohibition, albeit with different policy goals...the 14 darkest years in this country's history...hopefully it won't last 14 years in Australia
