A text this weekend from a doctor friend:

Intubated unvaccinated Covid patient whose intestine had burst from an ulcer probably, had to gown up and disrupt the whole surgery schedule on Saturday. She was going downhill anyway but they were trying to avoid intubating her. Felt nothing but contempt and disgust for her.

That tube ain't coming out till she's in the morgue most likely.
