The Coronavirus, not the beer

Masks are a symbol of control.

Inside makes sense I suppose but anything outdoors is illogical and flat out stupid.

To me they are a symbol of solidarity and caring about other people. The only time I don't wear it is when I go for a run.

with this I am out of here

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Local mechanical engineers say more research is needed regarding which masks are effective in preventing droplets from reaching others.

“Any kind of a mask is better than no mask at all,” Johns Hopkins University Professor of Mechanical Engineering Rajat Mittal, said. “Protection from someone who has an infection and is wearing the mask is almost as important in this pandemic as protecting the person wearing the mask.”

Mittal and his team published a report this month in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics, showing much of the research on avoiding respiratory illness has not changed much since the Spanish Flu of 1918.

“It’s amazing—some of those papers could have been written in 2020,” Mittal said of research in 1918. “What they said we need to learn more is exactly where we are right now.”

Mittal stressed wearing a mask makes a difference in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

“Masks do help and distancing does help,” Mittal said. “Any kind of a mask is better than no mask at all.”

Wake Forest Baptist Health anesthesiology chair Scott Segal says if you’re making a homemade mask, you can give the material a “light test.” Hold it up to the sun or a light to see if any light passes through it. If it does, it will not be a good filter.

RESIDENTS AND staff of nursing homes and other long-term care facilities account for roughly half of 1 percent of the U.S. population, and more than a third of the covid-19 deaths. That justifies extreme measures by federal officials and states, but so far both have balked.

On a call Monday with governors, Vice President Pence strongly recommended testing at nursing homes nationwide, and Deborah Birx, the White House pandemic task force coordinator, said, “We really believe that all 1 million nursing home residents need to be tested within next two weeks as well as the staff,” according to a recording of the call obtained by the Associated Press. Yet, federal officials and most governors have stopped short of mandating such tests.

An exception is New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo (D), who has ordered twice-weekly testing for nursing home staff in his state — and warned that facilities that fail to comply risk losing their operating licenses. Other governors should follow suit.

Testing bigly would solve a lot of problems.

What's the story on the Wisconsin supreme court overruling the stay at home order?

Oh, and Cuomo has been a disaster

Good for them I guess. Doesn't change what the federal Supreme Court ruled. If it was challenged at the federal level, I'm pretty sure we know where that would go.

Over protection is better than under protection. I only wear a mask when I'm around people other than my immediate family.

On the golf course today only a few wore them.

And it made people fearful of a virus that isn't that deadly with even basic precautions.

Every narrative the left pushes is a lie.

Makes you wonder if they wanted people to die to give them a chance in 2020.

We should have been opened a month ago. This is a weak virus and people got terrified because of the media and 'experts'.

I said a few weeks ago this thread would go the way of Russian collusion. We are just about there now.
