The Coronavirus, not the beer

How long till the American people realize that Orange One is asleep at the wheel and has killed hundreds of thousands of people because of his thirst for power?

Fixed it for ya.

Anyone have any guesses?

Answer - They already know, and no one knows more than the people in his own party.

Hmm - Interesting thing is that if the nation fully listened to Trump we may not even have 70k dead right now.

How does that make you feel?

I'm just convinced at this point that the leftists on this board do not understand basic math.

Is it possible that New York City achieved herd immunity? Maybe we'll be lucky and it will turn out that the number to achieve herd immunity is a lot lower than first thought.

The medical journals speaking about T-cell involvement have said just that.

We are already seeing immunity walls in Texas/Arizona/Florida because infections have stopped growing in exponential fashion.

As new COVID-19 cases and deaths continue to rise in the United States, White House officials are reportedly crossing their fingers that Americans will simply get used to it.

President Trump's advisers are looking to "reframe" his coronavirus pandemic response, and they want to "convince Americans that they can live with the virus," with White House officials hoping "Americans will grow numb to the escalating death toll and learn to accept tens of thousands of new cases a day," The Washington Post reports. One senior administration official said Americans will have to "live with the virus being a threat," while a former official told the Post, "They're of the belief that people will get over it or if we stop highlighting it, the base will move on and the public will learn to accept 50,000 to 100,000 new cases a day."

NBC News similarly reports the White House is preparing a new message on COVID-19 that the country must "learn to live with it." Trump has faced a declining approval rating during the pandemic, with Bloomberg reporting on Monday that support for Trump "is slipping fastest in the 500 counties where the number of cases have been more than 28 coronavirus deaths per 100,000 people."

Some kids suffer mysterious brain damage from coronavirus, study finds

The coronavirus may be causing scary neurological issues in some children.

Youth may help beat the novel virus itself, but kids may be more vulnerable to a secondary, brain damage-causing ailment which follows coronavirus infection.

The disorder, called COVID-19 pediatric multi-system inflammatory syndrome, is thought to be a debilitating immune response to COVID-19. It is similar to, but much worse than, the Kawasaki-like inflammatory condition previously linked to young adults with the coronavirus, states a study published Wednesday in the journal JAMA Neurology.

“Increasing reports of children developing systemic inflammatory response requiring intensive care . . . and a further group of children with a far less severe, Kawasaki-like disease . . . suggest that despite the typically mild acute infection, children may be at high risk of a secondary inflammatory syndrome,” reads the study.

“Children with COVID-19 may present with new neurological symptoms,” causing damage to the corpus callosum, which helps the brain’s two hemispheres communicate with each other, the authors write, “in the absence of respiratory symptoms.”

Researchers looked at 27 children who had the coronavirus and pediatric multi-system inflammatory syndrome. Of the group, four kids had visible brain lesions — and, interestingly, no breathing problems, despite that being a common coronavirus-related symptom.

Of the four children, two were discharged from the hospital in under a month and the other two, while showing signs of improvement, remain wheelchair-bound because of condition-caused muscle weakness.

“Neurological improvement was seen in all patients, with two making a complete recovery by the end of the study,” the study reports.

Brain damage had previously been reported in adults who suffered from the coronavirus, but findings of it in children are new. Prior studies have found symptoms of coronavirus-caused brain damage to include dizziness, headache, seizures and ataxia — a degenerative nervous system disease.

The study authors conclude that, due to the troubling new findings, COVID-19 should be considered when diagnosing children who are presenting neurological issues.

Apparently si se puede means yes, NYC could completely **** up by not protecting their at risk population AND force their lower middle class and poor to lose maximum jobs.

YES WE CAN!

comforting also knowing that the person that spoke of a Purple Heart recipient as "unamerican" comes out in support of Trump's Folly
