Yet there are clearly countries doing a much better job than we are, and several vaccines trials are entering final stages. Letting it "run it's course" was always the worst option of the 2.

A vaccine being ready soon is a pipe dream to make people feel safer.

So you think China was so afraid of Trump's tariffs that they manufactured a virus to look just like a natural coronavirus? And because they knew Trump was an idiot and wouldn't be able to manage an efficient response, it would hurt him politically while sending the world economy into freefall, all the while killing hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of people worldwide. You think the oldest civilisation on earth did this because of a little trade imbalance?

Is that about right?
