oh and if we do it properly and consider the rate at which % positive have increased from two weeks ago it lookes like this:

btw i very much approve of these comparisons of states or counties that are neighbors and generally similar...it reduces (but doesn't eliminate) the risk that confounding variables come into play

Positivity rate has been going up in Kansas in the past ten days.
