The Coronavirus, not the beer

Imagine if our country wasn’t so mentally challenged and didn’t stop effective therapeutics just because trump said they were good?

How many tens or even hundreds of thousands would still be with us today? Maybe we should hold the media and the scientific community responsible and have a public trial to understand why exactly HCQ and others like them were not universally administered (aside from heart conditions).

Just another thing the idiot leftist lunatics got wrong on this subject.

Serious question: Can you explain how a therapeutic- given after a patient has already contracted covid- somehow helps to dramatically reduce case counts? Even if Ivermectin- which is an antiparasitic drug, not an antiviral drug- was proven to effectively treat covid, which the data is sketchy on at best, I'm not sure how it would decrease case counts when it is given after infection. The comparison to a vaccine- given preventively because it confers immunity- would seem to be apples to oranges.

To me, a much more rational explanation for the drop in case counts in Uttarakhand would be the strict lockdown that was imposed and adhered to.

Easy

Treating the ccp virus with effective therapeutics reduces the period in which the host is infected with the virus. A reduction in that period reduces possible transmission.

There are numerous examples which sturg has effectively shown which demonstrates lockdowns had no impact on case counts.

So everyone living life as normal but with slightly shorter periods of infection reduces case counts. But, everyone staying in their homes and adhering to a lockdown- literally not interacting with other humans, which is the only way the virus spreads- does not reduce case counts?

Right, but if your family isn't seeing anyone other than each other and therefore isn't bringing a new disease into the home, can't you see how case counts would be near 0 within a week or two? Isn't this just common sense? Lockdowns don't work when they aren't adhered to.

There were early studies which showed they found the virus transmitted via plumbing so large apartment complexes serves as major infection hubs.

Got it. I didn't realize you believed the virus was so contagious that it could transmit via plumbing.

It seems we've reached an impasse. Thanks for answering my questions.

I think you're confusing plumbing and HVAC. Which wouldn't surprise me.

Plumbing = water. So sinks, toilets, etc. HVAC = heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Considering how things are plumbed, there's a 0 percent chance of getting COVID from someone else's plumbing unless you're constantly being sprayed by someone else's waste water.

Regardless, it is a good practice to close the lid on the toilet before flushing. I know the sight of a turd circling the drain can be mesmerizing, but it aint worth the health risks.

It may have been MythBusters, but I remember seeing a show do some type video representation of fine water droplets being thrown head high by a toilet flush. We should definitely close lids before flushing.
