I've been self-medicating with gin and tonics (quinine)...the success rate is very high so far...but the sample size is small...so anecdotal evidence really...I wouldnt presume to make a recommendation based on that even though I'm a doctor (but not an MD)

Now, I will have to answer to my patients that taking this medication at this time is not approved for prevention or daily use, and only given in the Hospital for compassionate use, and CAN cause serious side effects such as seizures and arrhythmias in some people, but Trump says it cannot hurt for everyone to take it �� As Oksana describes him, “he is the drunk obnoxious bafoon at the bar that just keeps babbling and wont leave you alone” . Fauci isn't squashing it but not recommending it is different.

I'm assuming the off label thing you're talking about is ZMapp which went through clinical trials before he said anything. THe clinical trial for hydroxychloroquine is just starting. No medical expert would recommend something without a clinical trial. If I got better and shoving garlic up my rectum, that doesn't mean it's a treatment even if other people who got better did the same thing. The people who got better on hydroxychloroquine could have been already on the path to recovery.
 
Now is not the time for this, but if the projections continue to fail as badly as they have so far, we need an explanation as to how we got there.

Its inexcusable to be this wrong about things when they have based all of their policy decisions on this model.

Unlike the climate change doomsayers, these predictions are causing real world damage.
