The Coronavirus, not the beer

Gonna be 40k deaths by tomorrow.

Still don't see how social distancing and mitigation shutdowns was a waste of time. Just not seeing how thethe gets his math that it wouldn't have been anywhere worse if we states didn't execute shelter at home orders.

We would certainly be well around 150k deaths by now.

Never would have happened. Peolle wouldnhave self mitigated and we wouldnt have had the economic disruption which would save more lives long term.

Bit I know you guys dont care about everyone who is impacted by the depression. You've made that very clear.

The point is to get the current spread low enough that the containment measures (contact tracing, quarantine, whatever) are practical when we do see new cases. That should reduce the rate of spread. Hopefully.

What is your best guesstimate on how much of NYC has been infected?

This is where a vague and nonresponsive word salad usually gets served

Misconceptions still going around that spread rate will continue over ling enough periods of time to cause the same level of strain.

Just very misguided and not seeing the big picture.

the white house promised 37 million tests by the end of March

they are bragging about 4 million tests on April 18th

utter lack of leadership to get this country safely open from the white house

This is why the only option for the left is censoring. Never can win on the facts.

Just like it's a fact that with less uninfected in the population the virus wont spread nearly as fast or hit near the peak it did the past few weeks.

For some reason truth it irrelevant.

That was a good interview by Crenshaw.

The obsession over Trumps past statements as some sort of proof he did nothing is pretty tiresome.

It's too mask chinas involvement [ccp orders] and to obscure the fact the models were wrong as well as well the effectiveness of lockdowns.

I watched the show. Crenshaw did a good job. His tone and language were very good, not Hannity-like at all, but if you listen to the actual words he said, they were mostly teflon to everything Trump has said and done, deflecting any necessary criticism of Trump (we can agree or disagree on particular statements/decisions) and then back to how it was the Dems fault, blah blah blah Nancy Pelosi.. In the end he reminded me of a more lucid Kellyanne Conway from before the 2016 election. In the end Maher stated facts with his opinions about them, Crenshaw sidestepped the facts or just picked one or two and did the usual song and dance of how Repubs were doing stuff and Trump stepped up before people give him credit for, and it's the Dems who are to blame. What is that but TDS from the other side of the coin? Maher just wasn't an ass back to him because he clearly respected what Crenshaw has done for the country, ie military service and Maher usually isn't an ass back to people unless they are one to him first.

By the way on the Glen Beck-esque "I see commies everywhere" stuff, I'm totally fine with calling this a Wuhan virus or a Chinese virus or whatever. So is Maher he said so in depth last week. He also pointed out something you don't see very often, that the wet markets are back up and running in many places over there. All it'll take is one or two more of these and we'll crash and burn as a civilization and especially as an economy. Bottom line in my opinion (for whatever little that's worth), we should have been aggressively pursuing vaccines and cures for this **** at least 3 years ago when our trillion dollar defense industry told us this was coming, but I guess you can't really spend that kind of money when literally every time a dime is spent the top 1% wants their cut of it.

Speaking of the MIC why don't we hold them to accountability for getting that kind of money and NOT protecting us? How long will those aholes who really run this country (ask JFK if you don't believe me) get to take and take and take and not deliver in return?

I've said around 1/5. That's actually close to the "16x confirmed" that your last article stated. If that holds true, the death rate in NYC is over .5% already. The death rate in Albany, GA would be over .4% as well.
